Practice Area: Patent Agents - Mechanical,Patent Agents - Electrical Engineering, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 1 Years, A law firm is seeking a Patent Agent to support the IP Practice in Minneapolis. Job Overview:Support the strategic development, procurement, and counseling of patent portfolios.Focus on drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Opportunity to work directly with clients and contribute to the firm's IP practice. Duties:Draft patent applications in collaboration with inventors and attorneys.Prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Conduct prior art searches and patentability analyses.Assist with patent portfolio management and strategic counseling.Communicate effectively with clients and provide technical expertise. Requirements:Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Degree or advanced degree in mechanical engineering preferred.Candidates with degrees in electrical engineering or relevant experience will be considered.Strong experience drafting complex mechanical patent applications is a plus.Excellent academic credentials.Comfortable working directly with clients.Strong writing and analytical skills. Education Certifications:Degree or advanced degree in mechanical engineering preferred.Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
