The ideal candidate will possess excellent legal research and writing skills and thrive in challenging environments.Job Duties:Advocate on behalf of law enforcement and other public safety employee clients.Negotiate collective bargaining agreements.Litigate grievances and unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB).Defend retirement claims against CalPERS.Requirements:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.3-5 years of experience.Interest and/or experience negotiating collective bargaining agreements, litigating grievances and unfair practice charges (PERB/NLRB), and defending retirement claims against CalPERS preferred.Education:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar.Skills:Excellent legal research and writing skills.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks.Knowledge of LexisNexis or other legal research platforms.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
