Mechanical Test Engineer (Flight Test Instrument / Space Systems Hardware)Location: Windsor Locks, CTJob ID: #69263Pay Range: $57-67 * * * Pay commensurate with experienceFocus: Mechanical Testing (Flight Test Instrument / Space Systems Hardware)Experience: 5yrs of Testing Complex Mechanical systems, Testing of components such as: heat exchangers, pumps, fans, & accumulators.Shift: M-F 8a-5pAll work is On-site only US Citizenship requiredTHE COMPANY - Work with one of the World's Largest American Owned Aerospace and Technology companies.SUMMARY* Design, implement, and maintain Test processes for Space Systems Hardware using lean philosophies and techniques. * Take a leadership role in driving action in the development, planning & implementation of timely and effective corrective actions for problems during product manufacturing and testing. * This can involve: testing, data analysis, and interface with all aspects of the engineering department. * Duties include the interpretation and analysis of customer test requirements and subsequent cost estimates to support an appropriate test program. * Responsibilities also include: daily interface with Program, Manufacturing, Quality and Engineering organizations to ensure that customer committed hardware and data deliveries are consistently met.TYPICAL DUTIES:* Support Laboratory Testing of Space Hardware * Develop and validate tooling concepts * Author and maintain Operation Procedure & Test Procedures * Preparation of standardized Operation Sheets & Test Sheets * Defining Test Rig and Facility Requirements * Participation on program Integrated Product Development Teams, Review drawings and concepts, and resolve producibility concerns. * Required - Experience with Advanced Instrumentation and Data Acquisition Systems. * Desired - Knowledge of LabVIEW. Experience should also include: 5yrs of Testing Complex Mechanical systems, Testing of components such as: heat exchangers, pumps, fans, & accumulators. * Must have - capability of working independently and be self-motivated. * Excellent communication skills, written and verbal are required. * Required - Ability to proficiently operate common Microsoft Office software products * * * US Citizen onlyBenefits provided: 401K, medical, dental, and vision, sick time as applicable to state law.Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
