Key Accountabilities:Assists the maintenance person or performs the following duties: maintenance on motors, pumps, switch gear, chemical feed equipment, mixing and sedimentation basin equipment, filters, intakes, wells, valves, control/monitoring equipment, building, grounds, and other related equipment.:Operates water treatment facilities, pumping facilities and other related facilities.:Operates all pumps, motors, screens, switch gear, chemical feed equipment, settling tanks, control systems, laboratory equipment, and valves.:Makes water treatment control tests and calculations necessary to control the water treatment and pumpage of the facility.:Collects water samples per regulatory requirements.:Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge/Skills:Must have a working knowledge of all tools used in maintaining all related plant equipment.:Since this classification also has operating duties, must have a working knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and hydraulics. Experience/Education:GED/High School Diploma. Certifications and Licenses:Valid driver license with the ability to pass a motor vehicle check.:DEP Class A Water license preferred. Will be required to obtain within 3 years of hire. Schedule Work schedule is Tuesday : Saturday 7:00 AM : 3:30 PM. When in Relief Operator role, will assume the Operator schedule.
