Job ID: 18755 The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants for a Full Time Security Guard at our Albuquerque, New Mexico location. This position is for Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. This position is manned 24/7, 365 days a year, requiring working all holidays, and occasionally filling in for night/weekend coverage as needed. The selected candidate will issue badges, maintain the security of the SDL campus, and monitor CCTV. The Space Dynamics Laboratory, a University Affiliated Research Center, has been developing innovative technologies and solutions for cutting-edge DoD and intelligence programs for over six decades. Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations. Responsibilities include: Greet and assist visitorsCheck in/out visitors and issue visitor badgesUpdate visit log daily, scan and attach check-in form to the visit logAnswer phoneMonitor CCTVEnsure security protocol is followedConduct security patrolsAlarm ResponseFollow emergency response proceduresRequired Qualifications: Must be a US citizenCurrent Security Clearance is preferred or must be attainable within a reasonable amount of timeAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with a wide range of internal and external customers* Punctual - must be on time and dependable Professional, friendly demeanorComputer experience, Microsoft Office software, and various office equipmentExcellent verbal, written, and professional communication skillsAbility to work independently, and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExceptional observation and decision-making skills Organizational skillsWorks well under pressureAbility to prioritize assignmentsAbility to walk long distances in the dark, in adverse weather conditions, and climbing stairsPreferred Qualifications: Able to work extended hours, or cover other shifts during the week as needed Working knowledge of S2 access control softwareWorking knowledge of Milestone CCTV Software SDL Benefits: At SDL, we take pride in and highly value our employees.
