Dessange Group is looking for a senior staff accountant to join our team in our Maple Grove office. This person will manage all accounting procedures to ensure Dessange's overall financial health. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail and deep knowledge of regional laws/regulations. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform Monthly GL Entries Prepare Balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare Bank reconciliations Assist with month end & Year End close Assist with audits & other special finance projects as needed. Record Dessange Salon Revenue Create Dessange Franchise orders & convert to invoices for inventory Process all EFT’s, ACH’s and wires in Bank (approx.. 10 a week) Assist with travel/expense submittal process Be a back up for A/P and Payroll Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. Prior experience with ERP systems – ideally Great Plains KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS And ABILITIES Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT Must be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods at a workstation Worker is required to have close visual acuity to view data on a computer terminal, extensive reading at a distance that is close to the eyes. Finger dexterity is needed to type on a keyboard frequently Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects from place to place.
