We work through our highly-specialized practice areas to deliver excellent quality, impactful solutions based on data integrity.A DAY IN THE LIFEOur NEPA/CEQA Project Manager (Associate Scientist) position is remote (preferably New England but not a requirement).As a key member of the Ecosystem Service Economics team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: * A remote work position with the opportunities for an office-based position in the US, you will provide guidance, recommendations, document review, and schedule maintenance for NEPA/CEQA environmental clearance documents and processes. * Ensures timely and quality preparation of NEPA/CEQA compliant environmental documents. * Attends weekly team meetings with various disciplines and assists the client in monitoring project scope, schedule, and budget. * Provides direction to consultants regarding the client's standards, quality, and expectations. * Works with the client to provide consistency between project sections and verifies document contents conform with the regulatory and client standards, procedures, and methodologies. * Gathers, guides, and processes all environmental data/information generated by the client's engineering, design, operational, and other technical experts. * Schedules and/or attends meetings with the client and attends stakeholder meetings, open house, public hearings, and other outreach activities. * Tracks environmental schedule and deliverables against the adopted client environmental milestones, including preparation of monthly progress reports.YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. * We are seeking a highly collaborative environmental professional with a working understanding of project management concepts (scope, schedule, budget, etc.). * You will work with various environmental discipline groups, such as human health and ecological risk assessors, site remediation, community economic development planning, and EIS specialists. * Master's or Doctorate degree focus on environmental or social science from a recognized institution is required. * A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Social Impact Assessment, and related fields that might include Indigenous Relations, Environment, Archaeology, Anthropology, Law, Community Development, Stakeholder Engagement, Land, or Government Relations. * An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. * Knowledge of the US regulatory processes and consultation guidelines, particularly as they are related to brownfield site redevelopment and the energy industry. * Experience engaging with regulatory and business representatives and communities to resolve complex and often contentious issues. * Ability to work independently, problem-solve through creative processes and establish partnerships with project management, client representatives, government agencies, and other organizations. * Ability to analyze and review documents for consistency, clarity, and content and present complex technical information in an easily understandable format and context.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU As a key member of our Montrose team, you can expect: * Mentorship and professional development resources to advance your career * Direct exposure to our industry's leading experts who are solving the world's toughest environmental challenges * An entrepreneurial environment where you can learn, thrive and collaborate with talented colleagues * Opportunities to engage and contribute in our Diversity, Fairness and Inclusion and Women Empowering Leadership employee resource groups * Competitive compensation package: annual salary ranging from $120,000 to $160,000, commensurate with accomplishments, performance, credentials and geography * Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage * 401k with a competitive 4% employer match * Progressive vacation policies, company holidays and paid parental leave benefits to ensure work/life balance * A financial assistance program that supports peers in need, known as the Montrose Foundation * Access to attractive student loan rates to optimize your student loan payoff plansThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
