Description: Shift Lead Operator Job Type: Full time - some OT available Salary: $17hr - $22/hr + shift differential Shift: 6pm - 6am *** Pre-employment background check and drug screen required. Shift Lead Operator Job Duties: Act as key decision maker and direct the flow of work on your designated shift Facilitate communicate between your shift and the one that follows so everyone understands the needs and goals for the next working shift Ensure all work is logged appropriately and take detailed notes of what happened during your shift for accurate recordkeeping Answer questions that arise from the employees on your shift Train and effectively coach employees as needed on various equipment and processes Primary accountability for ensuring a safe work environment for employees working on your shift Maintain regular communication with your Plant Manager on any operations, process or employee-related issues encountered on your shift Other duties as assigned Shift Lead Job Requirements: High School diploma or GED preferred. Manufacturing and production line experience required. Prior experience operating manufacturing systems, equipment, monitoring systems, PLC programming or manufacturing software. Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred. Will need to possess good eye, hand and foot coordination. Will need to have computer aptitude at an intermediate level. Will need to be able to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task. Will need to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for a minimum of 7 hours per day. Required to read and interpret scales. Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
