About us: Mission Montessori Academy, our program features traditional Montessori materials and activities alongside a progressive philosophy, music programs, cooperative learning and behavioural skills development, ABC’s/123’s and phonics/whole language programs and more. We are currently looking for a certified Early Childhood Educator. Job Description: Position: Early Childhood Educator Vacancy: 1Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week Wage: 20.00 to 24.00 CAD per hour (to be negotiated)Benefits: Dental, extended health benefit package after 3 months Probations. ECE Wage Enhancement Provided by British Columbia Ministry of Children and Family Development. Job Offer Type: Full-time, Permanent Address: #th Ave, Mission, BC Canada V2V 1V5 Main duties: • Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods• Knowledge of Day Nurseries Act• Establish guidelines for behaviour• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants Job Requirement: License: British Columbia Early Childhood Educator License, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 yearinteractionperience: Experience an asset Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Immunization Records. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking Personal Suitability: Punctuality, Excellent oral communication, Team.
