We have a direct hire opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer in Bothell at a company that specializes in pipe products for water and wastewater infrastructure. The company's pipe products are primarily sold to large distributors who serve municipal customers in cities and towns across America.In this role, spend your day on the production floor working on a variety of engineering projects, participate in all phases of the product lifecycle, and develop/improve manufacturing processes, designs, and products.Direct Hire Opportunity - Be on our client's payroll from Day 1!Salary and Shift Information: * Salary: $90K-$100K/year with both annual and profit-sharing bonuses * 1st Shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm; Mon-Fri Job Duties of the Manufacturing Engineer: * Develops, or facilitates the development of, manufacturing plans for complex changes and new products * Confers with management, engineering and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, product design, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes * Prepares, or ensures that prepared, manufacturing plans will meet throughput, cost, and quality targets * Participates with cross-functional teams to ensure that product changes and new product launches are successful * Directly assists design engineering with issues on new and existing products * Reviews product designs for manufacturability including: location surfaces, tolerances, assembly order and ease of assembly, etc. * Specifies and manages special machine suppliers to ensure the equipment provided meets the safety, throughput, cost, and quality requirements * Develops manufacturing processes and best practices that are structured, well managed, prioritized, documented, transparent and customer focused * Improves manufacturing processes utilizing automation. Researches, develops, evaluates, and implements automation in all aspects of manufacturing * Conduct research, planning, design, testing, and analysis to drive product improvements and process optimization * Independently manage small-scale projects with budgets under $100k from concept to implementation while securing approval from senior engineers * Apply your engineering training and experience in one or more technical disciplines to introduce innovative solutions that meet or exceed project requirements * Develop testing protocols with input from others, develop quality expectations, and ensure QA protocols are in place for adherence to standards * Establish production procedures, work instructions, QA matrices, and bills of materials for a single product or a specific production activityBenefits of the Manufacturing Engineer: * Medical Insurance * Vision Insurance * Dental Insurance * Life Insurance: Long-Term / Short-Term Disability Insurance * Flexible Spending Accounts * Paid Time Off * Employee Assistance Program * Bonuses: They offer both annual and profit-sharing bonuses * Employee EventsJob Requirements of the Manufacturing Engineer: * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field * 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering * Experience in one or more technical disciplines, including rubber, fabrication, forming, coatings, castings, or machining * Demonstrated process improvement through application of Lean Systems, Six Sigma, and Problem Solving Techniques * Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to influence others to meet objectives. * Strong project management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities. * Proficient in using MS Office * Strong project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills * Comfortable using hand tools and power toolsAPPLY NOW!!
