About Our Opportunity EECD is committed to building a strong and stable early childhood educator workforce to support the transformation of early learning and childcare across Nova Scotia. Professional development plays a key role in the recruitment and retention of a strong workforce. Under the direction of the Manager, Quality and Professional Learning, the Curriculum Development Specialist is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula and professional development activities to support the delivery of quality and inclusive early learning and childcare programs by early childhood educators/care providers across the province. The Specialist is also responsible for the development and maintenance of internal training and development for Department staff delivering Early Years programs and services. Primary Accountabilities Applies principles of instructional design to backss learning needs, identify performance and learning outcomes, design and develop curriculum, and create appropriate learning activities.
