Reporting directly to a partner, the attorney will likely serve as the primary handling attorney on their own cases, depending on legal experience.Job Overview:Serve as the primary handling attorney on assigned cases.Handle court appearances, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, pre-trial preparation, and client updates.Prepare for and participate in trials.Duties:Handle court appearances, including hearings and trials.Manage discovery processes, including drafting and responding to discovery requests.Conduct depositions of witnesses and experts.Draft and argue motions.Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.Prepare clients for trial and represent them in court.Keep clients informed about case developments.Requirements:Must be a licensed attorney in Nevada and California.Preferably barred in both Nevada and California.1 year of experience in civil litigation defense preferred.Strong legal research and writing skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Excellent communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications (if any):Bar admission in Nevada and California.Skills:Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong advocacy skills.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.Familiarity with civil litigation procedures.Negotiation skills for settlement discussions.Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex legal issues. Handling cases in areas of civil litigation, including bankruptcy, construction, employment, real estate, personal injury, non-profit, commercial, products liability, this AV-rated firm was,founded in 1996.
