Principal Supply Chain Planner About the Role: At Boston Scientific, the Principal Supply Chain Planner collaborates with divisional, regional, and clinical counterparts to plan for and maintain appropriate levels of finished goods inventories (owns enterprise:wide SI and OP process). Drives business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, and new product launches. Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost to serve performance data, and coordinates cross functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives. Helps to drive end to end thinking and agility across value streams with the end customer in mind. Your Responsibilities Include: : Computer and Systems Knowledge: Possesses solid knowledge of Microsoft suite, with proficiency in Excel. Utilizes in:depth conceptual, practical, and functional knowledge of SAP ERP and Kinaxis Rapid Response planning systems. Leverages knowledge in own function and other related functions to recommend new and/or improved processes, impacting various teams across BSC.: Data Analytics: Possesses the ability to conduct advanced analytics on complex problems and large datasets. Proficient in the use of advanced analytics tools and creates complex models.Translates analysis results into understandable business outcomes and creates compelling cases for decision makers.Leads team in analytic:driven projects.: Inventory Management: Daily monitoring of inventory levels for products in their portfolio. Recommends inputs to inventory targets and maintain in system, applying specialized conceptual and practical knowledge in own job function or field and full understanding of related job functions. Manages inventory to plan, identifies and leads opportunities for improvement, reducing inventory charges and creating VIPs. Works independently in short supply situations and allocates product receiving minimal guidance only on complex and unprecedented problems. Communicates supply updates to marketing and regional planners and can explain difficult or sensitive information to facilitate productive discussion and/or work to build consensus.: Manage Forecast Inputs / Improve Forecast Accuracy: Works directly with all business stakeholders to set the forecast to meet global demand for complex supply chains and/or business critical products. Initiate, oversee activities and explains difficult or sensitive information to influence and improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias. Receives minimal guidance.: SI and OP process: Facilitates cross:functional SI and OP Demand Planning and Net Requirements meetings for key parts of the portfolio. Develop and coach others on SI and OP process steps for non:standard situations. Support cross:functional SI and OP process efforts. Leads global peers to ensure complete and credible net requirements for standard and more complex situations are being captured for products across division portfolio. Collaborates with broad base of stakeholders on identifying and presenting complex issues or decisions needing escalation to Integration and Reconciliation or Executive reviews. Regularly identify and lead projects or analysis resulting from SI and OP process.: Manage product lifecycle events effectively (launches, transitions and EOLife/EOService): Independently collaborate with end:to:end
