Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer:II will support the day to day operation of the value stream. Optimize processes for manufacture and product flow including down time mitigation root cause investigations and cost savings initiatives. Job Duties:Support operations and new product/process development.:Drive the validation of equipment and processes as required (IQ OQ PQ).:Assess and implement capacity planning cost improvement and facilities layout for equipment moves and additions.:Perform operator training for new and existing processes.:Partner with resources such as suppliers and Olympus sites to resolve technical issues or improve processes or products.:Assess process capabilities prioritize process improvement opportunities. Innovate and implement process improvements.:Participation/leadership of cross functional project teams.:Review prints for new and existing products.:Follows GWIs GSOP and owns MPs to ensure control of product/process design.:Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications Required: : A minimum of a bachelors degree (B.S.) in science/engineering discipline or equivalent.: Minimum of 2years of industry experience.: Experience using LEAN and Six Sigma tools.: Experience with statistical data analysis Ability to work well/lead a cross functional team technical writing skills.: Experience with risk management documentation Fixtures/tooling knowledge CAD experience. Preferred: : Keeps his/her technical skills current.: Effectively applies specialized knowledge and skills to perform work tasks.: Understands and masters the technical skills knowledge and tasks associated with his/her job.: Shares technical expertise with others. : Takes action on his/her own without being prompted; handles problems independently; able to resolve issues without relying on extensive help from others; does more than is expected or asked. : Expresses ideas and information in a clear and concise manner; tailors message to fit the interests and needs of the audience; delivers information in a manner that is interesting and compelling to the listener.: Supporting Change and enthusiastically participates in new change initiatives and programs.
