Are you a Scientist looking to return to research after a career break? Our Janet Thornton Postdoctoral Fellowship is now open for applications. About the Fellowship: The Janet Thornton Fellowship is open to scientists who: Have a minimum of 12 months break from scientific research, for any reasonhave at least one years' postdoctoral research experiencewill be able to start within 6 months of being offered the role Are not currently working in a scientific research roleOur Janet Thornton Postdoctoral Fellowship is aimed at those that have taken career breaks for any reason (for example, caring for dependants, ill health or if your career has been negatively impacted by COVID-19). Salary: You will paid in line with our Postdoctoral Fellow pay scale (£35,707- £44,712 in 2023), dependent on skills and experience. The Janet Thornton Postdoctoral Fellowship also includes research consumables of up to £18,000 per annum, dependent on the nature of the project and a budget of £1,500 per annum for you to attend conferences and training. Start date: There is flexibility with the start date, but you should be able to start within 6 months of being the offered the role. The Fellowship runs for 3 years and can be worked full-time, part-time or flexibly. Stage 2 - Complete a Narrative CV and select a project outline you would like to apply to, or please state if there is a member of Faculty you are interested in working with.
