Chef De Partie NOC 62200Doubletree by Hilton Toronto Downtown Job details• Location: 108 Chestnut St, Toronto, ON, M5G 1R3• Salary: $30.00 / hour• 2 vacancies• Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time; 32 to 40 hours / week• Benefits: Group insurance benefits (100% cost covered by employer), Discounted team member rate (worldwide team member rates subject to availability), Food discount on location. • Start date: As soon as possible• Employment conditions: Must be flexible to work in any shift including Morning, Day, Evening, Weekends, Holidays, Job requirements Languages: English Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience Experience: 3 years or more professional cooking experience. Certificates: Food Safety Certificate (can be obtained and provided within 3 weeks of commencing employment) Work setting: Urban area, Hotel Job Duties and Responsibilities: Report to Executive chef. Assist in maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory. Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff. Assist Executive chef in creating new recipes and planning menus. Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food. Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for special guests and events such as banquets. Supervise and train junior kitchen staff. Ensure food meets quality standards.
