Practice Area: Asylum,Family Immigration,Immigration - General, Job Type: Attorney, Firm Type: Law Firm, Experience: 3 Years, A law firm seeks an EOIR Immigration Attorney for their office in Orange, CA.Job Overview:The EOIR Immigration Attorney will represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court, USCIS, and Board of Immigration Appeals. They will prepare defensive immigration applications, review USCIS filings, meet with clients to determine strategy, manage a team of paralegals, and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.Duties:Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court, USCIS, and the Board of Immigration AppealsPrepare defensive immigration applications, including I-589, 42A, 42B, I-485, SIJS, and PD requestsReview immigration applications USCIS filings, such as I-130, I-601A, and U-VisaMeet with clients to determine necessary strategy and provide analysisManage a team of paralegals to meet customer service expectationsPrepare and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration casesRequirements:3-5 years of Immigration Law ExperienceA team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with fellow associatesBilingual (English/Spanish) preferredInterpersonal skills of the highest caliberRecord of moving legal cases forward and an ability to manage a caseloadExperience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applicationsExperience with Case Management Software is preferredEducation and Certifications:Juris Doctorate from an accredited law schoolAdmission to the State BarCertification in Immigration Law preferredSkills:Strong legal research and writing skillsExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databasesBenefits:Medical, dental, and vision insuranceCompetitive compensation package, including a 401(k) planPerks include catered lunches, complimentary parking, paid time off, and more.
