ACTIVATION AIDE – FULL-TIME 1 VACANCY COUNTRY VILLAGE HOMES - WOODSLEE (ESinteraction COUNTY) Candidates are invited to apply for the above temporary FULL-TIME Activation Aide to work at Country Village Homes , a 104-bed long-term care home located in Woodslee, Ontario. The incumbent will report to the Program Manager. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities and qualifications: DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES The activity aide will develop, implement and evaluate diversified programs and services to meet the physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual needs of all residents. Identify and backss the residents needs to develop fulfilling activities. Set up and clean the activity area as necessary and assist with transporting residents to and from programs. Participate in care conferences and other committees as required to assist in backssing needs of residents. Attends in-service education programs. Encourage resident participation in programs and provide one to one support to residents. Maintain program and resident records by using Activity Pro and Point Click Care as well as completing RAI/MDS backssments. Adhere to established department policies and procedures regarding quality improvement, fire, safety, environment and infection control. Work cooperatively with other departments to meet resident needs. Other duties as assigned by Resident Program Manager. QUALIFICATIONS Proof of successful completion of a degree or diploma in Therapeutic Recreation or Leisure studies, Gerontology, Activation, Kinesiology, or other related field from College/University. Successful completion of Restorative Care Education Training (RCET certificate) an asset (but not mandatory) Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent documentation skills Ability to read and write English well enough to understand complex verbal and written instructions and complete written documentation required. .
