Position Summary An exciting opportunity exists in our Metals Division in Fort Saskatchewan for a Coordinator, Logistics. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Coordinator, Logistics position is accountable to organize, expedite and report the international and domestic shipments of Sherritt’s input materials and products, including legal and customs formalities in all jurisdictions where the company operates. The position will be for approx. 18 months and based out of our Fort Saskatchewan plant site. Accountabilities Identify alternative solutions and execute when faced with changes and challenges in shipping and transport requirements. Coordinate import and export trucking and ocean freight shipments to and from overseas distribution warehouses. Audit freight invoices for export ocean freight, intermodal rail outbound, freight forwarders, overseas distribution warehouses, airfreight invoices, trucking invoices, and courier invoices. Ensure that shipments do not transit via United States seaports, rail terminals or airports due to the United States embargo. Maintain the accurate data required to forecast for upcoming transportation requirements to provide a timely and cost-effective transportation service. Complete Canadian Export Reporting.
