We are searching for a mission-driven professional with an active SECRET clearance to become our US Navy and US Army Watercraft Systems Engineer II in Fort Eustis, VA or Philadelphia, PAAs Systems Engineer II you will:--- Provide Engineering Support Services (ESS) to the US Navy Code 251 / Code 252 and Army Watercraft Modernization Programs--- Receive robust benefits package that includes our Employee Stock Ownership Plan! (ESOP).--- Join a team of dedicated professionals who care about the quality of our product.--- Be a part of an empowered accountability culture where each employee-owner has a meaningful stake in the future success and growth of the companyA week in the life of a Systems Engineer II:--- Provide on-site coordination, engineering, technical, metrics, and program management support to US Navy and US Army Surface Ship Programs including attendance at production and status meetings providing remote and local in-service support.--- Provide engineering and technical services required for Code 251 and Code 252, which are required for DDG MOD, DDG Tech Refresh and MACHALT installations.--- Support Technical Refresh and System Modernization programs for alterations and installations (AITs, SHIPALTs, etc.) of various HM&E systems including Machinery Control Systems, Fuel Control Systems, Damage Control Systems, Integrated Bridge Navigation System, Navigation, Auxiliary, etc.--- Provide configuration, testing, training support and assessments of HM&E systems aboard AS, CG, CVN, DDG, FFG, LCC, LCS, LHA, LHD, LPD, LSD, MCM, and other U.SNavy, and U.SArmy ship and vessel classes.--- Support shall include on-site coordination, logistics, metrics, and program support on-site at various shipyards, and Naval Stations in San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, Portland, OR, Mayport, FL, Seattle, WA, Honolulu, HI, Everett, WA, Yokosuka, Japan, Yokohama, Japan, Sasebo, Japan, and Rota, Spain areas.--- Provide engineering support including design, testing, data analysis and procedure development for HM&E equipment and systems.--- Support the Government In Service Engineering Agents (ISEAs) with all applicable DDG MOD, DDG Tech Refresh, MACHALT, and ISEA test procedures through HM&E Sea Trials on all ship availabilitiesFounded in 1975, AMERICAN SYSTEMS is one of the largest employee-owned companies in the United StatesWe are a government services contractor focused on delivering Strategic Solutions to complex national priority programs with 100+ locations worldwideThrough our focus on quality, strong cultural beliefs and innovation we deliver excellence every dayCompany Awards:--- Forbes National Best Midsize Companies--- Energage National Best Workplaces, National--- Washington Post Best Workplaces Veteran Hiring Awards:--- U.SDepartment of Labor Hire Vets Medallion--- BEST FOR VETS by Military Times--- TOP 10 MILITARY FRIENDLY COMPANY by MilitaryFriendly.com Job Requirements--- Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.--- Three (3) years of experience in Auxiliary systems, including mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance and testing of shipboard equipment or systems, as described in the SOW.--- Current/prior experience with US Navy Surface Ship, US Army Modernization, and/or Service Life Extension Program (SLEP)--- Experience providing On-Site Representative (OSR) support, attending shipyard production meetings or conducting ship checks EOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/Veterans/Gender Identity/Sexual Orientation
