Grey Matters Defense Solutions specializes in software development and solutions, data analytics algorithms, and innovative remote sensing technologies and operations, with senior-level personnel formerly from DIA, NRO, DARPA, and the US Armed ForcesGrey Matters Defense Solutions differentiates itself by combining its subject matter experts, analysts, software engineers, and its data scientists to create unique artificial intelligence algorithms and various applicationsGrey Matters Defense Solutions is seeking a talented and dedicated Senior Software Engineer, C++ About the job: --- Deliver core capabilities to National defense --- Work in a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence--- Looking for C++ Developers to work in a rapid pace, collaborative, small-team environment and be able to engineer, prototype, develop, integrate, and test advanced software solutions into Government frameworksKey Responsibilities: --- Work independently on program tasks or features, may own small projects or large tasks; technical lead or lead developer for an Agile team--- Demonstrates fluent, idiomatic mastery of C++; comfortable with software design and architecture--- Provides thought leadership at a team level--- Regularly communicates with customers, present status, engage in program-level meetings and processesAbout you: --- A Bachelor's degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science --- At least eight years of professional experience and fluency in C++ --- At least two years of professional experience using Linux operating systems --- The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance --- Knowledge of writing and debugging Makefiles --- Knowledge of writing and debugging shell scripts --- Knowledge of Data Structures Preferred Skills: --- An advanced degree in the physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science --- Experience with software prototyping, development, and integration within government frameworks --- Experience with the exploitation and analysis of OPIR, E/O, SAR, Spectral, RF, or other remotely sensed data --- Professional experience with DevSecOps --- Professional or academic experience with Agile software development Grey Matters Defense Solutions provides transformational leadership, building aware-winning teams and productsGrey Matters Defense Solutions' most valuable assets are the more than 55 + employees, consisting of data scientists, custom software developers, and analysts/subject matter experts, with senior-level personnel formerly from DIA, NRO, NSA, and the US Armed ForcesOur employees have a depth of analytical knowledge which provides them with a deep understanding of managing and delivering products within government systemsJoin our team of exceptional developers, architects, and data scientists!
