We are currently seeking Health Care Aide's to join our team that is responsible for hands-on personal care services, light housekeeping and meal service assistance, as well as participation in social-recreational activities. Please note this position requires availability during days and evenings. Responsibilities: Assist residents with move ins and facility orientation Performs light housekeeping in resident suites and common areas Support personal care activities; dressing, bathing, incontinence Simple transfers Respond to medical emergencies in a calm manner Assists with resident laundry and meal service as needed Follow Care Plans and report any changes or concerns Working with residents to meet care requirements and communicate any concerns to the doctor and manager as needed Demonstrate ongoing competence utilizing knowledge, skill, judgment, and evidence-based practice in caring for aging adult is vital in this role Ensure accordance with provincial continuing care health service standards, legislation, codes, regulations, and employment and safety statutes Demonstrate awareness of accident and injury prevention, through safe work practices and procedures Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements What you need to succeed: Completion of provincial Health Care Aide certification Registered with provincial health care registry Experience in a residential care setting is preferred Demonstrate.
