JOB : Manufacturing Engineer LOCATION : Aylesbury TERM: Permanent SALARY : GBP 45,000 : GBP 60,000 per annum (dependent on experience) We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer or Continuous Improvement Specialist on a permanent basis in the Aylesbury area with experience in the assembly, mechanical, electro: mechanical or similar manufacturing Industry. Your main duties will include assisting to improve and implement new manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer / Continuous Improvement Specialist will ideally have the following attributes: : Qualified in a relevant Engineering / Manufacturing Degree with time served as a Manufacturing Engineer. : Previous experience working with assembly: based manufacturing environment. : Good knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing methods. : Experience in a regulated manufacturing industry (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Devices, Communications, Satellites etc) : Familiar with SOP's, NPI, Tooling/Fixtures and other manufacturing responsibilities. : Have the ability to communicate with other members of staff and management. : Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. : Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment would be beneficial but not essential. : Excellent organizational and planning skills. : Ability to work independently as well as team. : Experience within machining or fabrication : beneficial but not needed. The Continuous Improvement Specialist / Manufacturing Engineer role will involve: : Assisting the other members of the manufacturing and engineering team to optimise the on site processes. : Leading Continuous Improvement projects to optimise processes. : Assist in NPI responsibilities to ensure smooth integration to production. : Helping to advise on factory layouts and new automated machinery.
