Charter Communications, Inc. in Greenwood Village, CO seeks Principal Engineer I.Job Summary: Develop and automate data cleanup scripts and user interfaces (UI) utilizing developer tools such as Java language, SQL developer, web services and UI development. Generate reports from the provisioning system, analyze data, and provide recommendations on how to improve flow through success rates for products such as High Speed Data, Digital Voice and Video. Review and understand customer orders in the billing system, determine which orders have phone services, and process ancillaries (e911, directory listening, and LIDB) as needed. Research failures for ported phone numbers, and identify rejection reasons. Review, test, and verify improvements and/or changes made to existing systems. Develop UI’s for front-end users to increase efficiency, reduce the need to manually process orders, and fix order fall out. Track number of failures and tasks that increase or decrease daily and hourly. Track and generate alerts to appropriate users/teams with status on how the provisioning system is performing hourly, daily, and monthly. Assist other teams as needed with data reconciliation efforts, and data clean up. Design and customize complex search queries. Promote advanced searching, forensics, and analytics. Work with Java and Spring development tools. Create queries and reports from database using SQL and PL/SQL. Utilize Kafka and Hadoop HDFS. Work with flow through system.Education / Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Must have 4 years of engineering experience with each of the following: designing and customizing complex search queries; promoting advanced searching, forensics, and analytics; working with Java and Spring development tools; and developing UI. 2 years of experience: creating queries and reports from database using SQL and PL/SQL; working with flow through system; and in cable industry.Ref. code 257824BR recblid dqudvjb2wibt7pqfzgff0mjg5mmllb
