Job Summary: The Stocker is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing sales floor merchandise. This position is responsible for stocking shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise, and arranging merchandise displays to attract customers. The Stocker may periodically take physical count of stock, or check and mark merchandise. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: NOTE: Brewer Oil Co. unilaterally may change the requirements of this job description at any time. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. These include, but are not limited to, the following: Compare merchandise invoices to items actually received, and ensure that shipments are correct Set up advertising signs and displays of merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales Receive, open, unpack, and issue sales floor merchandise Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise Take inventory, or examine merchandise, to identify items to be reordered or replenished Keep store rooms and coolers clean and organized Answer customers' questions about merchandise, and advise customers on merchandise selection Clean display cases, shelves, aisles, and restrooms Stamp, attach, or change price tags on merchandise, referring to price list Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications (includes education, skills and experience): The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
