BUSINESS/FUNCTIONAL PURPOSE Through its merger with Oil Search, Santos has acquired and assumed operatorship over a world-class portfolio of oil leases on the Alaskan North Slope, USA. Our focus in Alaska is advancement of our Pikka Phase 1 project, which includes a single drill site, an oil processing facility, and other infrastructure to support production of 80,000 barrels of oil per day. Pikka has been identified as being among the top quartile of oil and gas development projects for greenhouse gas emissions performance. Pikka is poised to play an important role in the energy transition and is aligned with our company goal of managing climate change risk. The Pikka Unit is one of the largest conventional oil discoveries made in the United States in the last 30 years, and the Pikka Phase 1 Project is the most significant development on Alaska's North Slope in more than 20 years. The permitted Pikka development project includes two additional drill sites. The Alaska assets also include discoveries made from both the Mitquq and Stirrup exploration wells drilled in 2020. These opportunities combine to offer a clear path to long-term growth in Alaska. POSITION PURPOSE The People and Camps Logistics Supervisor is responsible for aviation contracting, flight and billeting for the various Construction and Drilling camps on the North Slope of Alaska. In addition to the travel and accommodations this position is responsible for rolling stock to include Bussing, Expediting and all Pickup and equipment rental to support the Construction Management Team and Drilling Operations. The Project at peak construction and drilling activities will have in excess of 1,200 personnel on shift to support activities. Additionally, this position is responsible to coordinate seating requirements for commercial aviation provider to insure air lift support. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Address all aspects of the transportation process in moving people for operations, drilling and projects in and out of the North Slope. Oversight of the Mobilization and Demobilization of all Temporary Construction and Drilling Camps. Oversight of all camp services to include water, wastewater and trash disposal contracts. Build and maintain good working relationships with vendors, clients, and external personnel. Manage financials and cost. Continually review costs and keep costs down where possible. Advise on best practices to achieve successful transport of personnel economically. Analyze and optimize logistical procedures. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate field. 10+ years plus of experience in Logistics; preferably in the oil and gas industry. Experience in Alaska would be preferable. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and perform under pressure. Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Outlook. Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and organizational skills Displays tactful, mature, and professional demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work with diverse personnel.
