Wilkes University invites applicants for an open Dance high school teaching enrichment position in the Upward Bound Program for the summer session. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio Program, which provides support to participants in their preparation for college and ultimately, in their higher education pursuits. The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the enrichment component of the Program by introducing the history of dance, while working to put on a live dance production with a small group of high school level students to be presented to students, parents, and other Upward Bound staff. A Bachelor's degree in Dance, Theatre, and/or a related field is required. This is a part-time/temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Program dates run from June 19th through July 27th and classes are held twice a week, Mondays and Wednesdays (1:15P.M. - 2:30P.M.).
