We are seeking a Junior Superintendent to assist with supervising all aspects of our construction sites- including crew and vendor management, client communication and troubleshooting. Responsibilities: Assist with supervision of all aspects of construction sites, including adherence to project documents, project schedule, and field personnel management. Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, standards, etc. Ensure subcontractor work complies with drawings . Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs. Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, work rules, etc. Share oversight of productivity of subcontractors, efficient use of materials & equipment, and contractual performance of the project. Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness. Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, roadblocks, etc.) as required . Qualifications: 2+ years' experience in residential and commercial construction preferred Adept with Architectural plan sets (all disciplines) Strong knowledge of commercial construction, including building codes, trade sequencing Ability to identify , investigate and quantify project problems and corresponding alternatives and consequences Experience with construction management software preferred W illing ness to learn a proprietary program Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite 5s and lean methodology experience preferred Design-build experience preferred Physical Demands Ability to stand on your feet the majority of the day; Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.; Regularly works at heights; Potential exposure to hazardous chemical materials; Noise level is typical of that found in a construction environment; Subject to atmospheric conditions; Crouching, kneeling, twisting, reaching, climbing, pushing and pulling; The worker is required to function in narrow aisles or passageways; Potential exposure to weather and environmental conditions.
