Position Overview Under the direction of the Manager, Materiel Management, the Supervisor plans and directs work of the Environmental Services department. Coordinates the work of the Senior Porter, Environmental Service Attendants and Clerk. Experience Three (3) years supervisor experience with proven leadership skills or equivalent. Minimum of 5 (five) years environmental cleaning services experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Knowledge/experience with SAP and ESP (scheduling program) functionality preferred. Knowledge of WHIMIS, Infection Control principles, environmental sanitation and safety. Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health regulations and other related codes such as CSA standards. Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Grade 12. Must have a certificate in Environmental Service Management or a suitable combination of education acceptable to the Employer. Familiarity with national, provincial and regional standards for Housekeeping. It is recommended that, at minimum, staff possess the Family & Friends category of training. Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable Qualifications and Skills Accurate, effective communication in English is required.
